The standard calculator form and PDF generation run entirely in your web browser. For those features:

• Case details you type into the standard calculator form are processed on your device
• We do not store the inputs or results of the standard calculator on our servers
• Generated PDFs are created locally on your computer and are not uploaded to our servers

Two features work differently: (1) our AI analysis and chat assistant transmit the information you provide to our AI providers for processing — see AI Processing below; and (2) if you submit a case review request, your contact details and case description are shared with our attorney and marketing partners after your explicit consent — see Sharing with Licensed Attorney Partners below.

Note: Standard website analytics (page views, device info) are collected as described in Section 1.2.

AI Processing (Added April 2026)

When you use our AI features (case analysis, medical record review, photo analysis, or the chat assistant), the inputs you provide are sent to our AI providers (Anthropic Claude and Google Gemini) for processing. These providers have their own privacy terms which you can review at anthropic.com/legal/privacy and policies.google.com/privacy.

We do not store your AI inputs or outputs on our servers. Your data is transmitted to the AI provider, processed, and the response is returned to your browser. We keep only anonymous usage counters (nothing tied to individuals) for operational purposes.

If you upload a medical record PDF or photo, that file is base64 encoded and sent directly to the AI provider. We do not retain it, log it, or share it with anyone else. The same privacy guarantees apply to chat messages.

You can use the calculator (non AI features) without any data leaving your browser at all.

Sharing with Licensed Attorney Partners

When you submit your contact information through the AI chat or the case-review form at /do-i-have-a-case, we may share the following with one or more vetted licensed law firm and marketing partners in our network:

• Your first and last name
• Your phone number and email address
• Your ZIP code and state of residence
• The case details you described (incident type, date, injury, treatment, fault status, attorney status, dollar damages you provided)
• Your server-captured IP address and User-Agent at the time of submission
• The TrustedForm certificate URL documenting your consent

Attorneys who receive your information may then contact you to evaluate whether your case is a fit for representation. You will only be contacted by attorneys licensed in your state. Attorney partners are subject to bar association advertising rules and standard professional conduct obligations.

We do not sell raw contact lists. We do not share information with anyone other than the attorney partners described above and the service vendors (Cloudflare, ActiveProspect, Anthropic, Google) that operate our infrastructure. We never share information with offshore call centers.

TCPA Disclosure & Consent

By providing your contact information through any FairSettlement.org form, chat, or interactive feature, you give prior express written consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA, 47 U.S.C. § 227 and 47 C.F.R. § 64.1200) and the federal E-SIGN Act (15 U.S.C. § 7001) to receive communications from FairSettlement and our law firm and marketing partners by:

• Autodialed and prerecorded telephone calls
• SMS / text message (msg & data rates may apply)
• Email

Consent is not required to use any free part of our site. The calculator, the blog, the state guides, and all educational content are available without providing any contact information.

Revoking consent: reply STOP to any SMS, click unsubscribe in any email, or email [email protected] to revoke consent at any time. We honor opt-outs within ten business days as required by federal and state telemarketing rules.
